"The main objective of the formation of the Managing Director of UPCLDF: - Based on the recommendations of the labour Relationship Committee set up by the Government of India, the Government of Uttar Pradesh envisaged the formation of the Managing Director of UPCLDF in 1972. The basic objective of the formation of the Managing Director was to practically monitor the functioning of the unit, financial condition and proper maintenance of funds. One objective was also that the government was facing difficulty in direct correspondence with the bodies and after the formation of the UPCLDF, the government created a medium for contact with the bodies."
